The Quarry is a large, luxury, child friendly, detached Victorian house standing in ½ acre of private, terraced gardens. It has magnificent views over the pretty harbour town of Ilfracombe, Devon, & out to sea. 

 

This unique, sunny, self catering villa backs directly onto the South West coastal path & is located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is a perfect base from which to explore the stunning North Devon beaches, dramatic Exmoor countryside & picturesque Devon villages.

 

The nearest beach is just a 5 min walk away www.tunnelsbeaches.co.uk, this privately owned cove boasts a Blue Flag for cleanliness & was voted one of the UK's best rock pooling beaches in BBC Wildlife magazine.  Damien Hirst’s restaurant www.11thequay.co.uk a 15 min walk, and the 3 miles of golden sand & highly regarded surf at Woolacombe Bay are a 10 min drive (also a Blue Flag beach).  Croyde bay & Saunton Sands just a little further.

 

We have 2 wonderful caterers who can fully cater dinners at the house (& clear up), or just prepare delicious meals & for you to reheat in the AGA & homemade cakes for tea time.  In addition Ilfracombe has a fantastic traditional local butcher, veg shop & fishmongers - all deliver to the house.

 

Inside, the house is bright, stylish, contemporary & comfortable. Filled with orignal art & vintage furniture.  It can sleep up to 13 people (15 if you use the 2 single futon chair beds) in 7 light filled bedrooms, and is ideal for family holidays, birthday celebrations, luxury group accommodation, golf weekends at Saunton Sands golf club, weddings at Tunnels Beach, corporate entertaining, team building, surfing breaks at Woolcombe or Croyde, sophisticated hen weekends, walking holidays, or just a luxury break by the sea. We have WIFI.

Enjoy a cosy weekend with friends at The Quarry.  We have log fires, an AGA, huge antique baths, cliff top walks straight from the back gate & a massive kitchen in which to cook up a feast.  Delicious homemade Devon cream tea on arrival too. Weekends in Jan & Feb just £1200 for 3 nights, March £1400.
