Booking  

A booking is confirmed when we have received your completed booking form & a cheque/bank transfer for 30% of the total cost.  At this time we will send you a confirmation letter & lots of info about the house / local area.  The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival. 

 

Payment - you can pay by cheque (made out to Kirstie Jackson),or by bank transfer.  I'm afraid we don't accept credit or debit cards.

 

Deposit - in line with other houses of the same size & standard we ask for a £1000 deposit.  This should be paid by cheque/bank transfer, to reach us no later than 2 weeks before your arrival.   Your cheque will be paid into our business account.  On departure, providing the house is in a good state, we will refund your deposit in full.  We won't charge for small items, but we do need to protect ourselves against damage to more expensive fixtures & fittings.

Should you need to cancel our policy is as follows:

 

Let us know by phone first, but we will also require written confirmation (email is fine). The written cancellation must be issued and signed by the party leader (ie the one whose name is on the booking form). We will take the cancellation date as the date you called.

 

If we manage to re-sell the full dates that you have cancelled then you will be refunded monies paid minus a £100 administrative fee. If we can only re-sell partial dates, you will be refunded a pro-rata amount of the monies paid minus a £100 administrative fee.

 

Cancellation Charges:

 

30% of the total holiday cost: Where cancellation notice is received after the 30% downpayment has been paid and no less than 8 weeks prior to the booking start date. 


100% of the total holiday cost: Where cancellation notice is received after the remaining balance is due and/or been paid and less than 8 weeks prior to the booking start date.

 

PLEASE NOTE - We do advise that you take out holiday cancellation insurance – this protects you should you need to cancel at late notice

 

The name on the booking form will be responsible for the rest of the party.

 

Well behaved pets by prior arrangement only. We cannot take responsibility for anything stolen whilst staying at the house.

 

We ask guests to treat the house with respect, & leave it in a similar state to how they found it.

 

The house is strictly no smoking.

 

We will ask for a deposit, which will be refundable if the house is left in a similar state to how you found it.

 

All linen & bath towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.  We just have 2 hairdryers.

 

Check in is from 4pm; check out by 10.30am.  Our bookings generally run from Friday – Friday, but we may be able to sort out alternative days if the diary allows it.  If we do not have a same day changeover you should be able to check in earlier / check out later.  This will need to be confirmed by our housekeeper a couple of days before arrival.
